How it works
One phone. One ball. One hoop.
No wearables, no sensors, no extra gear. Set your phone down and the court turns into a real life video game.
Put the phone down
Prop your phone at any court: the driveway, the park, the gym.
Create your profile
Choose your position, your skill level, and your team. Every game starts exactly where you are.
Play
AthletIQ prompts shots out loud, tracks whether you make or miss, simulates your team and your opponent, then prompts the next shot. You win with real makes. You lose with real misses.
The whole setup: prop your phone near half court on the sideline, screen facing the hoop. That's it.
Full games, full seasons, wins and losses, player ratings, and championships. Play with and against friends, in person or across locations.
The daydream
Do you ever shoot around by yourself imagining you're playing a game in your mind? 3, 2, 1, hit the game-winning shot? We all do it. AthletIQ simulates your imagination, so now you can compete even when you're all by yourself.
The empty driveway becomes a packed arena.
The next rep becomes the shot that decides the season.
For parents
A video game that can't be played from the couch
Every possession, every win, every rating is earned with real shots on a real court.
The couch, the console, and the nag loop lose. Your kid wins.
The phone is the scoreboard and the referee
It sits near half court and the sideline, not in their hands. The screen is never the destination.
Screen time becomes court time
The same pull that keeps kids on a console pulls them to a hoop: games, seasons, streaks, standings, and competition, all powered by real shots.
The game asks for one more shot, so you don't have to
No nagging, no bribes. When practice feels like a game they want to win, kids go get the reps on their own.

Early signals
What the first users are saying
It's tough to get him out practicing, but after one game, he's like "Let me play a second game." And that's tough to do for a dad who's wanting his kid to go out and practice.
As soon as you can layer in competition to kids and gamify that, you actually see the elevation of the skill rise and how hard they're trying to implement that skill.
When I was testing it out, I struggled a little bit from the three-point line. My team ended up losing. And down the stretch when I was missing those crucial threes... I know I was letting my team down. I immediately wanted to play again!

The founder
AthletIQ grew out of the experiences that shaped my career: obsessing over reaching my potential as a player and spending countless hours alone in the gym visualizing big moments before they ever happened.
